Dear Families and Staff of Junipero Serra Elementary School:
The school is currently experiencing an extended power outage as a result of critical equipment failure. We are expected to remain without power until Wednesday evening (September 1st).
Out of an abundance of caution and in the interest of the safety of our children and staff, Junipero Serra Elementary School will be CLOSED Monday, August 30th through Wednesday, September 1st. Students will be expected to complete asynchronous school work at home during this time.
Class assignments will be communicated by each teacher via Class Dojo or email. Assignments may be accessible through Seesaw, Google Classroom, or other instructional resource hubs.
Please note that our before and after school care programs (AYRP and DEDAP) will also be closed.
We will be sure to keep you informed of any additional updates, should we receive new information. At this time, however, we anticipate all power to be restored to the schools referenced above by Wednesday evening, and school will reopen on Thursday, September 2nd.
During this temporary closure, student lunches will be available for pick up between 10 am – 12 pm at the Nutrition Services district office window located at 398 B Street, South San Francisco.
